The pool is scheduled to re-open tomorrow morning at 9 AM after being closed from an incident involving broken glass found in the pool and on the pool deck.
Per DHEC regulations, the closure was required to ensure the safety of all residents using the facility. It had to be drained and vacuumed out for the pool to re-open within regulations. The board was able to secure a special permit for a meter attachment to the fire hydrant adjacent to the pool. A special thank you to Danil Weih for helping the board with this as we could not have done this as quickly without him putting us in contact with the right person to expedite this process.
The board had also identified the party responsible for the incident. They’ve agreed to cover the financial costs involved to restore the pool to DHEC regulations and expressed their sincerest apologies for the inconvenience to the association.
Again, as another reminder, any resident that accesses the pool with accompanied guests is ultimately responsible for their behavior. Furthermore, it is against DHEC regulations to consume alcoholic beverages in glass containers and to use the pool facility after dark. If you are caught violating these rules, your pool privileges will be revoked for the remainder of the pool season.
Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding in this matter. We hope you enjoy swimming responsibly this pool season.
